Second single of the year taking the RnB scene by storm

From a hot and cold situation with a relentless lover, to wondering if you’ve finally found the one, Savannah Ré’s 2022 music arsenal seems to have ammo for every romantic situation.
Just as we were recovering from “Fiji,” on 30 March Ré drops her second single of 2022, “Last One.” And this time, a male voice weighs in on the lyrics: another fellow Toronto-based R’n’B artist, Dylan Sinclair.
Sinclair is a 19-year-old Canadian rhythm and blues singer and songwriter, who discovered his talent for singing at just four years old, in church. At 15, he began writing and recording his own music, and in 2018, he released his first EP, Red Like Crimson.
Red Like Crimson caught the attention of many people — enough for Sinclair to perform in a room filled with 200 people at his first concert. The EP also impressed Grammy-nominated Toronto producer Jordon Manswell, who Sinclair has been working closely with since 2019. Manswell has worked with a number of famous artists, including Daniel Caesar, Mariah Carey and Chris Brown.
In January 2021, Sinclair was one of the winners of SOCAN’s inaugural Black Canadian Music Awards alongside fellow artists: Tobi, Naya Ali, RAAHiiM and Hunnah. He was also featured on JUNO award nominee and fellow Canadian Emanuel’s 2021 debut album, Alt Therapy, on the song “Hindsight.”
In “Last One,” Ré and Sinclair’s voice entwine beautifully in a soulful love ballad about finally finding “the one.”
Something about you
Feels so brand new
Nothing before
Matters no more
I will be the Last One
to love you now
I’m okay
Knowing that I’m choosing you
For the rest of my life
Produced by Toronto-based Yogi (also Ré’s husband) and Kevin Kofo (KofoSound), with a baseline by Anthony “Tones” Wisdom (currently playing live shows with Tiana Major9 on the Jazmine Sullivan ‘The Heaux Tales tour’), the mood is soulful, chill, with a sense of complete ease setting in — all sentiments felt once you’ve realized you have found the one to spend the rest of your life with.
