She’s got it, knows her body, likes to flaunt it
A sensuous tone is set from the very start of the song.
The music begins slowly, like a brushstroke, as if painting a scene of a woman walking, gliding sexily, catching everyone’s eye. And when vocalist Loreta Triconi gasps, as if in awe “Here she comes, hear her coming” the canvas is complete. The tempo gradually increases, vocals and instruments weave together and off we go!

On 9 May, Old Soul released their newest single, “Hot Tramp” and if you were looking for your Hot Girl (Rock’n’Roll) Summer track, this one’s it.
Societal norms often force us to use the term “Tramp” in a derogatory manner to describe a loose woman. But Old Soul’s single completely shatters that idea by almost venerating her. The lyrics describe a sensual, confident woman who knows how to command a room, capture all the attention, and does so unapologetically.

Likes to flaunt it
The entire track is one crazy ride, truly befitting the distinctive elements that psychedelic rock is known for. As if resembling the “hot tramp” description, the music goes through highs and lows, at one point intense and energetic, and the next a complete tease as it lulls into a slower beat, leaving you bated for breath, wanting more.
While “Hot Tramp” is the first single released in 2022, it is actually the second one Old Soul shared on streaming platforms, the first one being “Fall into your Love” released in 2021.
As COVID-19 restrictions come to an end, Old Soul is back to performing live, enlivening Montreal’s bar scenes. From headlining at Blue Dog Motel back in March, to opening for Yester Daze (another Montreal-based band) at Piranha bar in April, the foursome are gracing the stage once again.
They will be performing this Friday at Turbo Haüs, alongside Tatum Quinn, and headlines Yester Daze.
